What to know about the Golden Retriever
Temperament and living together
Gentle, patient and very sociable, it is one of the most balanced breeds with children and other animals. It learns easily and enjoys working with its family. It needs company and activity: it is not a guard dog, but a companion that wants to take part in everything.
Daily care
It needs 1 to 2 hours of exercise a day, plus play and mental stimulation. Brush once or twice a week, and more during the moult; control its diet to avoid weight gain.
Health and prevention
Keeping a healthy weight, avoiding excessive impact while growing and giving it regular exercise all help it stay strong, agile and happy.
